I did check that repo (thanks for posting and sorry for the delay), but unfortunately I could not find the tarball posted anywhere else, which makes it look like someone got that code directly from realtek (during product development).
Even if you check the header file (include/rtw_version.h), the version ID from the imported code is actually different.
