Hi guys,

so I've just talked with smoser, and he points out,

2016-05-24 09:06:47 smoser tych0, doesn't the file they pasted say exactly
waht to do ?
2016-05-24 09:07:00 smoser ## Note, this file is written by cloud-init on
first boot of an instance
2016-05-24 09:07:01 smoser ## modifications made here will not survive a
re-bundle.
2016-05-24 09:07:02 smoser ## if you wish to make changes you can:
2016-05-24 09:07:03 smoser ## a.) add 'apt_preserve_sources_list: true' to
/etc/cloud/cloud.cfg
2016-05-24 09:07:04 smoser ## or do the same in user-data
2016-05-24 09:07:05 smoser ## b.) add sources in /etc/apt/sources.list.d
2016-05-24 09:07:06 smoser ## c.) make changes to template file
/etc/cloud/templates/sources.list.tmpl

further,

2016-05-24 09:08:35 smoser on lxd the "instance-id" is the name
2016-05-24 09:08:44 smoser so if the name changes, cloud-init will think its a
new instance and will re-render that.

I think it's fair to say that a publish is a re-bundle, so it is
reasonable for cloud-init to run. Any changes can be persisted as
suggested in that file.
