Yes, this is true.
If you are interested in implementing this I would love to work with
you. I cannot hack on it this week but it should be rather easy.
At the very low level we would allow applications to reboot using the
system call or by talking to systemd.
Do you have a particular use case you want to support (existing code)?
What would be the interface you are interested in?
