I'm wondering: since canonical people in launchpad.net insist on creating new bug reports for different issues, and this one seems to be solved for the op (comment #4) but not for everyone else (and people seem to have different experiences: for some, not even 4.6 fixes it, some still report freezes after a couple of suspend/resume cycles), should we make new bug reports?
