Unfortunately, that patch is needed in order to have a usable
compiz/composite experience with XAA, and besides not that many drivers
support zero-copy-tfp with EXA yet. This should be re-evaluated when
hardy opens. Mesa has r3xx (ati) support for z-c-tfp, and I've tested
r200. Don't know what the situation is with intel, though.
