I am, once again, trying 4.6.0-040600-generic. The problem hasn't re-
occurred yet. However, given that it comes and goes when using 4.4
that's no guarantee that it is fixed. Only quite a lot of time will
tell.
It's also not a supported combination with 16.04, which is itself of
some concern.
