I am discontinuing attempts to install Kubuntu 16.10. I have tried using UEFI and Legacy with both USB Stick and DVD all with the same result. The USB always shows 1 file in error on checkdisk. I have updated each day to have the latest daily version. I have wiped the USB's and re-formatted in GParted to insure that there are no remnants from a previous use of the USB drive.
