Public bug reported:
Hi,
same problem as with xubuntu-core:
The xubuntu-desktop package pulls in heaps of fonts completely useless
for 99,5% of users.
All sorts of special asian fonts, bengali, hindi, japanese, chinese,
never asking whether I want to use or need them.
It results in rendering several programs unusable, since font selectors (e.g.
in libreoffice) are jammed with tons of useless fonts, making it slow,
difficult, and, due to memory limitations, sometimes impossible to find the
font one would need.
All these special fonts belong in locale packages, not in -desktop or
-core packages.
