I personally think .deb files should not be associated with gdebi in
firefox. It should be possible to download deb's from firefox to your
computer and then if you do want to install them, you should browse to
the files location and install it from there. I think it is a bad idea
to install untrusted packages directly from the webbrowser. Apturl as it
is now is perfect in that it allows you to easily install programs from
the trusted, official ubuntu repositories. That should be the only way
to install programs directly from the webbrowser.

So I would prefer to not have gdebi associated with .deb files in
firefox (or any other browser) by default.
