Public bug reported:

USB devices are not automatically mounted by the system. They are not
detected by disk manager or by volume management applications such as
GParted or fdisk. The previous version of this kernel (102) has none of
these problems. Tested on Lubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin on a PC with
the following characteristics:
