Public bug reported: The NSIS package from the apt repository for Ubuntu 16.04 appears to not properly compile the sections of a given NSI file. Strange behavior has been observed that effectively hinders the ability to generate an installer correctly with the Ubuntu package. Compiling from source fixes the issue, so the bug is not in NSIS.
Specifically, attempting to compile more than one section causes strange behavior such as executing only the first section defined. More information, such as test scripts to reproduce the issue, can be found in this thread on the NSIS forums: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=392719 Ubuntu version: $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
