I have the same problem, xubuntu 16.04. the wireless works in windows xp with
speed of 150 mbps, however in ubuntu the wireless jumps from 39 mbps to 1 mbps
( most of the time 1 mbps). But I can connet to internet.
Before I had lubuntu 12.04 and it worked perfect.
