Hello, I have a Dell XPS 15 9550 with Ubuntu GNOME 16.04. I managed to solve the issue by installing Kernel 4.7 RC3 from Mainline PPA and then running this commands in Terminal:
rm -r ~/.config/pulse/ pulseaudio -k && sudo alsa force-reload sudo reboot I have my headphones being detected automatically and audio output is smoothly transfered to them. Same when I unplug them. I rebooted again twice and I found out that worked to in Kernel 4.4 (Latest from Ubuntu repos). Hope that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575078 Title: [XPS 15 9550, Realtek ALC3266] Headphone jack stops working after a while To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1575078/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
