Public bug reported:

I had Ubuntu 15.04 and decided to make a fresh install of 16.04 instead
of a double upgrade. I backed up my data (System Settings/Backup) on a
usb drive and installed.

After that, I tried to restore my data, but there was no "Restore..."
option available. I then ran "deja-dup --restore" from the command line.
It said that there is no duplicity process running, or something along
these lines. I'm sorry, that I didn't make screenshots.

I installed duplicity (sudo apt install duplicity) and tried again. This
time it gave me "BackendException: Could not initialize backend: No
module named gi.repository". I found this question
https://answers.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+question/276745 and installed
python-gi. After that I was able to restore my files.

I think these packages should be installed by default.
