** Changed in: lightdm/1.18
Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released
** Changed in: lightdm (Ubuntu Xenial)
Status: Triaged => Fix Committed
** Description changed:
- When <seat>.conf
+ [Impact]
+ LightDM uses a strange name for Mir greeter logs -
/var/log/lightdm/(null)-greeter.log
- [Seat:*]
- type=xlocal
+ [Test Case]
+ 1. Start LightDM with a Mir greeter
+ 2. Check logs in /var/log/lightdm
- and <greeter>.desktop
- X-LightDM-Session-Type=mir
+ Expected result:
+ Appropriate named log file
- The log in /var/log/lightdm is called null. It should be called
- something like x-greeter.log
+ Observed result:
+ Log contains a (null)
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+ Low. We now set the NULL value to something appropriate (the seat name, i.e.
seat0-greeter.log).
