Public bug reported:
I have just purchased a new PC with dual CPUs on the Gigabyte 965P motherboard.
Have installed Ubuntu 7.04 32 bit version. As I have yet to use this new PC, I
thought I should try the 64 bit version. So my install attempt is over the top
of the existing install.
The failure point is shortly after commencing install (selected start or
install Kubuntu). Appears to be a display problem???, as the screen goes blank
and my monitor indicator goes from green to amber.
Had tried installing 7.04 64bit Ubuntu as well, but it failed exactly at the
same point as this Kubuntu 7.10.
I read somewhere that it is a problem with correctly recognising the 965P
motherboard (thinks it is something else).
