This may be a bug in Pulseaudio introduced in version 8 - at least it was in my case. The issue is fixed in the newest release of Pulseaudio (Automatic routing improvements) - https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/PulseAudio/Notes/9.0/.
*It did not appear in Ubuntu 14.04 (which uses version 4) and does appear in 16.10 (which uses version 8). *I could fix it through brute force be making the *-default-sink file in ~/.config/pulse ro. *I fixed it through the temporary fix as outlined in this post - https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/pulseaudio-bugs/2016-February/010460.html. Please note that this may introduce other regressions. Read the entire post to find out what. The regressions should not affect the vast majority of users. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574382 Title: Default sound device changes after resuming system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1574382/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
