Rodney, can you please send me the logs for the pay-ui case?
I cannot reproduce this bug with the test case you gave me: indeed, there is a
blank window, but that's the twitter-test application :-)
If I add a red rectangle to it, I can definitely see it.
The attached branch is still a good thing to have, because there's
obviously a typo in the code.
