After updating a few days ago, standby was finally working. But, after
yesterday's (06 Oct 07) updates, standby stopped working. Not just
standby, but also when shutting down, now. When I click "Shut Down" in
the Power menu, it goes to a black screen with some blinking grey
"cursor-like" images. This is the same screen that appears after coming
back from Standby mode. Also to note, I have only tried this when going
on Standby and closing the laptop lid (haven't tried it without closing
the laptop lid). But the Shut Down thing happens with or without closing
the lid.
