Public bug reported:
After install ubuntu 64 bit edition, on a brand new install, X failed to
start properly. All I saw was completely garbled nonsense. After ctrl-
alt-F1 to a console I edited xorg.conf and added the resolution of my
first monitor 1920x1200 and then restarted X. I could then see on my
first monitor the login screen.
