Using 2.0.9 on xenial, snapcraft doesn't let you point to an upstream
.desktop but requires to ship one in setup/gui.
That's duplicating work and not providing with any facility to handle
translations (where the upstream one usually has its title translated)
which leads to more work for a less good experience for users.
The only reasons I can see you want a modified version is to tweak the
command, that could be done by snapcraft by just sedding the Exec
(either in an automatic way or by declaring the command to use manually
i the snapcraft.yaml)
