Hi Benjamin,
I'm a little confused by this bug. You mentioned "If you boot up with
ipmi modules compiled into the kernel" which should mean that [ `lsmod |
grep -c "ipmi_devintf"` -eq 0 ] evaluates to False?
Also the 16.04 version of OpenIPMI (and 16.10 version) have some fixes
to better handle modules being built-in to the kernel. Does the issue
still occur there?
