Thanks for reporting this bug and making Ubuntu and Libertine better!
I understand that copying and pasting using long press would be great,
but since we are an X application running in a container, trying to get
those events may be difficult. We will look into it though as a future
enhancement.
I'm not sure which X application(s) you are using, but many have the
Edit menu in which you can select Copy after highlighting text, which is
possible with the touch screen, so that is the suggested method for copy
and pasting in the same X app for now.
