Public bug reported: I've been trying to install XUbuntu 16.04 on my new SSD. It installs fine on an old SATA drive, but consistently crashes after selecting the keyboard layout. I've been trying for 3-4 days and I've been able to replicate the crash ~15 times. Doesn't matter if I let the installer create partitions automatically or if I do it manually or whatever.
I've redownloaded and recreated an install USB half a dozen times, on two separate usb drives. I don't believe it's a usb / hardware failure; I've used them to install OSes before.
