there is a Debian package "firmware-brcm80211": "Binary firmware for Broadcom 802.11 wireless cards" which contains firmware files for many Broadcom wirelesss cards (e.g. brcmfmac43340-sdio.bin).
It is supposed to contain all firmware files for "wireless network cards supported by the brcmsmac or brcmfmac driver" Why don't you put the brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin into this archive?. This would be one step in the direction to make the Raspberry Pi independent of special distributions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1578745 Title: Update firmware for Raspberry Pi 3 support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1578745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
