None of workarounds worked for me. Omg, is there a single thing which 14.04 → 16.04 upgrade didn't break? Sad to see that distro widely recommended for newbies slowly drowns under a bunch of architectural, planning, and software problems, which are hard to fight even for long time users. Perhaps since now we should recommend Fedora instead.
