A couple bugs have been fixed for the next update that could be the root cause
of not having a conection.

The Data indicator is shown in the status bar when Wifi is not enabled,
otherwise the Wifi status is shown as it will be used for data traffic.
It is always shown in the pulldown next to the SIM if it is connected.
If you do not have Wifi enabled and don't see the mobile data indication
then that is a new issue.
