In order to supress the error and boot at all you must add pci=noaer to
your kernel boot parameters. You can do it in the install launcher's
GRUB menu or during boot, then regen your grub.cfg with it included for
future boots.

This is not an ubuntu unique problem, as i can confirm it exists in
other distros as well (Arch for one).

my belief is it is an issue with Skylake chips and intel based mobos and
the south-bridge PCI support within the kernel itself.

(i have a i7 6700 and an H110 chipset)
