** Description changed: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20 Hi there, - I have three hard disks on my PC: - IDE disk Maxtor 6Y060L0 with grub, /boot/ and other OS partitions, detected as hda. + On my PC I have three hard disks: + IDE disk Maxtor 6Y060L0, with grub, /boot/ and other OS partitions, detected as hda. SATA disk ATA SAMSUNG SP1614C with / and swap partitions, detected as sda. SATA disk ATA WDC WD1200BEVS-7 with one large NTFS partition, detected only on reboot as sdb. When I turn the computer on, kernel detects only two disks, hda and sda. When I re-boot (warm boot), all three disks are detected and everything is Ok. The other OS detects all disks on cold boot, so I think its not a hardware problem. ** Tags added: boot hdd sata -- Kernel does not detect third hdd on cold boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149741 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
