@Seth - first off thanks for assisting here. :) Unfortunately no improvement after installing the 4.7-rc7 kernel. Tried the usual options in the iwlwifi.conf (11n_disable=8, bt coexistence) but various degrees of worse performance.
Regarding older firmware - after further testing, I was incorrect about the older firmware working better. It was only easier to connect, and a little more stable, but still crumpled under any real load. Almost like the radio was reaching a saturation point under load...? I've never rolled back to an older kernel than the release ships with - is that even possible, or would it just break a bunch of things...? If things worked with the same firmware and kernel I was running on 15.10, it might be a useful data point... not that I really want to go backwards. :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1602051 Title: 5Ghz link no longer works on 16.04 - iwlwifi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1602051/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
