Same problem — programs like Totem and Rhythmbox work fine, but any
games (like Warsow, OpenArena or Urban Terror) fail, and also Flash
doesn't have any sound.
I have an NVIDIA sound device exactly the same as Vladimir's, and
receive exactly the same error as the OP's when launching Urban Terror:
