I could also build the commit [6957c68d1e9255a31d2d916b6a6451b736460761] "nfs: Fix race in __update_open_stateid()" and I installed the kernel built from it and it does not freeze the laptop. So the commit that triggers the problem must be after the above commit and up to (including) the tag "Ubuntu-3.19.0-53.59".
