This is an ongoing problem with confinement in the Ubuntu Terminal App.
Using the Libertine command-line tools work fine outside of confinement
withing the Ubuntu Terminal App (eg. using a remote shell connection
like adb or ssh).
Adding a bug task for the Ubuntu Terminal App to address its limited
utility.
