Public bug reported:
My test is made from the local boot hdd device.
Wanted to open a video stored on an other unmounted local hdd; but vlc is
unable to access other hdds.
1) open vlc
2) click 'media' menu
3) try to find/list/mount non active hdds (no fstab entry for them). Vlc is
fully blind.
4) open nautilus and mont the required hdd
5) vlc is still blind; no way to access that mounted hdd (only 'computer' &
'home's user' viewable)
Vlc should list all the available devices by default.
