Public bug reported:
Today we have installed gutsy beta at a computer at work with a nvidia geforce
mx460 installed attached to a crt.
After activate the proprietary drivers and restarting the machine the screen
goes black and the monitor go into powersave. After switching back to the free
nv driver i found, that gutsy has detect 2 monitors !
The second monitor was undefined at a 640x480 pixel resolution, monitor 1 has a
generic setting for 1280x1024 pixel.
I have tried to set the second crt to the same settings as the first one, and
finally after activating the nvidia-glx driver again and restarting X all works
fine. I'am a little confused, has the mx460 two videoports ?!? There is only a
analogue vga-port and a tvout-port.
If I use "detect" in the settings, the correct frequency data are detected.
