The recent update of unity ( 7.4.0+16.04.20160715-0ubuntu1 ) causes
issues in ldap + kerberos accounts whereas the original release with
Ubuntu 16.04 (what I'm using) does not.
Upon login, the launcher is not visible and all windows open such that
the title bar is not visible. However, if one opens up terminal and
then runs "$: unity -v", all is fixed. This only happens on kerberos
accounts and not on local accounts.
