I can confirm: it doesn't work either.

I needed to do a small change though:

sudo service network-manager stop/start

as

$ sudo stop network-manager
stop: Unable to connect to Upstart: Failed to connect to socket 
/com/ubuntu/upstart: Connection refused

I guess the intention is the same. If I tested it incorrectly please
advice.
