Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I've just checked and as far as I can tell mysql-server-core-5.5 5.5.49-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 on amd64 does *not* contain innochecksum.1.gz. So I'm not sure how this could have happened. Have you used a package source outside Ubuntu? Or could this have happened due to some kind of local corruption? The file I checked comes from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+publishinghistory -> https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/5.5.49-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 on the amd64 build, and has sha256sum e864110f3cfc019639ea91c67e0b8f344d9f55885b9ddab2ed7e3795bc53f4fb. I'm marking this bug Incomplete for now as I cannot figure out how to reproduce it. If you have any further information, please comment and change the bug status back to New. Thanks! ** Changed in: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1607448 Title: package mysql-server-core-5.5 5.5.49-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/share/man/man1/innochecksum.1.gz', which is also in package mysql-server-5.5 5.5.49-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1607448/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
