I've worked out that this log comes from a new install using the 16.04.1
installation image. But efibootmgr reports that this is not a uefi
system; so it's a bug that anything has tried to install shim-signed (or
grub-efi-amd64-signed) on this system, and this requires investigation
to understand why the installer has tried to install this (wrong)
bootloader.
** Summary changed:
- (shim-signed on non-UEFI system) package shim-signed
1.18~16.04.1+0.8-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed
post-installation script returned error exit status 1
+ 16.04.1, initial install, non-UEFI system: package shim-signed
1.18~16.04.1+0.8-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed
post-installation script returned error exit status 1
