Public bug reported:

If one goes into the Activities Overview and clicks on an application,
the AO closes and it opens. This seems logical and it is what most
probably want most of the time, however I on many occasions need to open
several applications at the same time, or do a search and then get it to
open multiple items at a time so that I don't need to have to keep re-
entering the AO.

So what I would really like to see would be something like shift + click
(or similar) on an item to open it but not close the AO, and just normal
click to open it and also close the AO.
