I'm also experiencing this problem after a full reinstall to 16.04 before and after patching to 16.04.1, then rebooting.
cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=16.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=xenial DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS" The package in question is the Citrix Receiver for Debian https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/linux/receiver-for-linux-latest.html#ctx-dl-eula Double clicking on the downloaded "icaclient_13.3.0.344519_amd64.deb" in Nautilus it fires up "Ubuntu Software". I click "Install" and nothing happens. I click it again and an icon appears in the launcher with a completion indicator on it showing the text "waiting to install" when I hover over it.
