OK, I just tested with a Live-USB disk of Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon
(kernel 3.16) newly burned from the ISO file and suspend/resume works
great. Multiple times in a row, from the shutdown icon, from the power
button, and from the notebook lid close/open. So this is either Kernel
or distro dependant and perhaps not related to the BIOS version as I
thought. I tested this from a Live-USB of Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon (kernel
4.4) and it DOES NOT work, it has the same problem - first
suspend/resume works fine, then upon second suspend it displays the
yellow text warning and reboots the system at the BIOS level.
