This happened when I was trying to use 4.4 kernel with Ubuntu 14.04 following
commands mentioned in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack
I used following command in particular
sudo apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-lts-xenial
