this was fixed in upstream commit 8028c9234ec4260eda9431bffc6728ac3703e243
but commit changelog referred to bug 1577982.
I just uploaded 0.7.7-10-gbc2c326-0ubuntu1 to yakkety, so when this
arrives it will be fix-released in ubuntu.
