Hi, I can't make much out of your screenshot. It just looks like a big white rectangle to me.
Could you run this command so we can at least see what your nautilus settings are? apport-collect 1613124 Do you still have the problem if you don't have nautilus draw desktop icons? If you have Unity installed, could you check whether you experience it on Unity too?
