Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: proftpd

It seems that at least in proftpd_1.2.10-27ubuntu3.1_amd64.deb (Ubuntu 6.06)
and in proftpd_1.3.0-9ubuntu0.1_amd64.deb (Ubuntu 6.10) packages, upstream fix
for
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=340262
was not applied (Fix present in proftpd_1.3.0-19_amd64.deb for example).

This prevents proftpd package to be removed from scripts executed w/o
control tty:

Removing proftpd ...
Stopping ProFTPD ftp daemon: proftpd
/var/lib/dpkg/info/proftpd.postrm: line 5: /dev/tty: No such device or address
dpkg: error processing proftpd (--remove):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 1

** Affects: proftpd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
