My system has the latest 7.10 updates applied.  Intel quad with intel on board 
video.

motherboard says its the GMA3100.
I opened screens and graphics.  Then set my monitor to a generic 1680x1050 LCD. 
 Pressed ok.  It didn't save.
I opened screens and graphics again.  Went to the graphics card tab.  select 
Choose driver from list.  Select Intel from Manufacturer.  Select 965 from 
model.  select ok.   It puts the i810 - Intel driver on the list.
Click test - screen goes black - that returns to the desktop and the program 
has crashed.  no messages its just gone.
When I open screen and graphics and check drivers its back to the vesa driver.
