Binary package hint: usplash
Testing Gutsy RC i386.
I had no problem with usplash using system installed with an alternative iso,
but i got a black screen during the boot of the system installed with desktop
iso.
The problem came from usplash.conf where the resolution is too
big/invalid.
I got a 1280x1024 in usplash.conf, or my system can do 1024x768.
Xorg is well configured for desktop/alternative (1024x768)
usplash.conf is well configured for alternative (1024x768)
usplash.conf is BAD for desktop (1280x1024)
