Public bug reported: steps to reproduce 1) using commandline, open any document in libreoffice 2) libreoffice startup banner pops up, pointer disappears(?) 3) pointer reappears, "libreoffice 5.1: recovering document, status of recovered documents... " window appears. on either "start recovery" or "discard recovery data" buttons being clicked, the screen flickers black, and the login prompt for gnome is shown, as if I logged completely out of gnome (mate)
this did not happen with 15.10, only started once I installed 16.04.
