Public bug reported:

hi

I wanted to reinstall ubuntu but at the installation it crashed when it
was trying to install the grub. Previously I installed with bios mode as
I had multiple OS system and everything was ok, but this time I wanted
to try UEFI mode as I just cleaned up my ssd drive. I did a full format,
removed partitions etc so it was completely empty. I will stick to bios
mode.

I hope that helps.
